Tasting Notes
Vintage – An almost perfect growing season throughout the Clare Valley produced some of the best rieslings seen for many years. The weather remained mild for most of the verasion & ripening period which produced a perfect balance of ripe fruit and Baume’ at harvest. we harvested approximately 17 tonnes of fruit and our free run Riesling juice produced 8,500 litres of Riesling that was bottled in mid October 2012.
Colour, Bouquet & Palate – Best Described by James Halliday in his – Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition as; “Light straw-green; the fragrant, flowery bouquet leads into a lime and lemon citrus tango on the palate; the long, lingering finish is dry, though not shatteringly so, the acidity well balanced”.
