Tasting Notes
Vintage – 2011 was a difficult vintage with a consistent rain pattern from December 2011 to harvest in March 2012. Mildews were a major issue for many vineyard’s, some were overwhelmed & did not harvest. With our boutique scale we were able to spend the vineyard time required to defeat the mildew threat, resulting in an excellent vintage and show award success.
We cropped approximately 14 .5 tonnes of premium Riesling resulting in near 7,500 litres of free run Riesling juice.
Colour – Pale straw and light green tones
Bouquet & Palate – Displays a floral perfumed nose with lifted lemon blossom aromas. The wine is perfectly balanced combining a refreshing acidity, slate minerality with luscious mouth filling lemon citrus flavours and hints of marmalade that linger to a long dry, clean & delightful fruit driven finish.
